Introducing The 2009 Starettes
Tibbe Luell currently serves as Director of The Starettes. She
began her dance career out of a medical recommendation at age
5. Due to financial constraints she was unable to continue until
8th grade. At that time, she regained entry into the world of dance
and has continued to pursue her dance goals by owning her own
studios in Stillwater, MN, and Osceola, WI – Valley Dance & Arts
Academy. Tibbe’s professional performing debut began in 1997
with Fred Astaire Ballroom Dance Studio in Milwaukee. She has
gone on to choreograph her local community theatre
productions, direct her own fashion shows, participate in Mrs.
Minnesota America, and is an active member in her local
Chamber and Women’s Business Bridge. In addition to
operating her dance studios and many community outreach
dance and theatre programs, she and her husband Tim own the
Asa Parker B&B in Marine on St. Croix. Even though she is older
than many of the Starettes, Tibbe hopes you will see her passion
for dance and performing as a possibility for all – young and old
(er)!
